About Founder

Rizma Sheikh is a Uttar Pradesh social entrepreneur, educator, and philanthropist. She is the founder and CEO of Rizma Education, a social enterprise that provides affordable, quality education to underserved children in Uttar Pradesh in india.

Sheikh was born in Uttar Pradesh and grew up in a poor, rural village. Despite these humble beginnings, she was able to obtain a scholarship to study in the India, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University.

After graduation, Sheikh worked in the private sector for a few years before returning to Bangladesh to start Rizma Education. She is passionate about education and believes that it is a fundamental human right.
